Made for early consumption, this 2020 Chardonnay wine is fruit forward with the aromas and flavors of pears, apples, and citrus fruits. Well balanced with crisp acidity, it should continue to develop for 4 to 6 years in the bottle but why wait?
The 2020 Salexis Carneros Chardonnay was made from Napa Valley Carneros fruit grown by Beckstoffer Vineyards.
Styled for earlier consumption, this wine was barrel fermented in 33% new French oak with the balance being once used barrels and under went malolactic fermentation, both with native yeast and bacteria. After the fermentations were completed, the wine was aged on the lees for 15 months. The resulting wine is fruit forward with the aromas and flavors of pears, apples and citrus fruits.
Well balanced with crisp acidity, this Chardonnay should continue to develop for 4 to 6 years in the bottle.
