This 2019 Napa Valley Carneros Chardonnay was created to be consumed at an early age. It’s well balanced, crisp acidity makes it a very enjoyable wine by itself or paired with lighter fare such as light white fish like halibut. This wine will continue to develop for 4 to 6 years in the bottle.
Tasting Notes and Technical Information
The 2019 Salexis Carneros Chardonnay was made from Napa Valley Carneros fruit grown by Beckstoffer Vineyards. Styled for earlier consumption, this wine was barrel fermented with native yeast in 33% new French oak with the balance of wine being in once used barrels. The wine went through malolactic fermentation with native bacteria. After the fermentations were completed, the wine was aged on the lees for 15 months.
The resulting wine is fruit forward with the aromas and flavors of pears, apples and citrus fruits.
