With the flavors and aromas of blackberries, cherries, plums, vanilla, and toasty oak, this Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent accompaniment to a big plate of pasta Bolognese or a succulent red meat dinner. The 2019 Cabernet will continue to improve with cellaring for 10 to 20 years due to its bold tannins.
The 2019 Salexis Wines Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is ready for release. 2019 was the second vintage of another drought in California, which produced a smaller crop than in 2018.
The 2019 is a very concentrated wine with exceptional fruit characteristics and bold tannins. In addition to our customary blending of Petit Verdot into our Cabernet Sauvignon, we also chose to blend Merlot in as well.
The Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes are grown in the eastern edge of the Napa Valley, the vineyard was planted in 1997 with our recommendations of rootstock, clonal material, row direction, vine density, and trellising system. The Merlot grapes are grown in a Carneros sub-appellation vineyard owned by Beckstoffer Vineyards.
With the flavors and aromas of blackberries, cherries, plums, vanilla, and toasty oak, this Cabernet is an excellent accompaniment with red meat dishes but will also continue to improve with cellaring for 10 to 20 years.
